An unpleasant manager?

Collins tried to understand why the waitress would act in this way and even make such an accusation without allowing the manager to hear him out first. After the encounter with the manager, he already thought that this is a dead-end and thought it was about time to walk out and not bother discussing with the manager. But of course, he wanted to air out everything on his mind, so he explained carefully all that had happened to the manager and expected the issue to be resolved properly. But the reaction of this manager was even more unexpected.
