Surprisingly amusing
About this time, Collins had already stood up, and as he approached the register, another female waitress on the counter said, “You better pull me off the line because I’m not serving him.” He stood in awe and expectant of the manager’s reaction, but to his greatest surprise, they all burst into a round of laugher, and Collins couldn’t see what the joke was, only that he was starting to feel humiliated. Now he gave out a warning that no one took seriously. Collins stated that there would be repercussions if the management didn’t treat their customers as they should.
Deal With Someone Different
Collins warnings were unheeded, and yet she added more wounds to the situation by replying with a very silly comment, “You know what Sir, I understand this has been a bad for you, but you see, these things happen. Now if you could get off this property, the would be perfect”. She paused, scoffed, and added, ” We don’t deal with men like you here.” This left Collins in another state of confusion. What did she mean by “men like you”?
What have I done wrong except try to order a good lunch? Collins thought to himself.
