Time to react
Collins found the manager’s approach to this entire situation as a rather cold and rude one at the same time. For someone who is not used to being treated in this manner, we expected him to react in a more attention-grabbing way. But then he just wondered what life would feel like differently. First of all, he wasn’t used to explaining himself to anyone, most of the time, people had to explain themselves to him and secondly he wasn’t used to taking orders and yet this manager wouldn’t stop asking him to leave the restaurant. He felt like he was being looked down and of course, this didn’t go down well with him.
