A guilty conscience
When the ordeal was over, Rob picked up the piece of plastic that had caused the problem and got the shock of his life. It couldn’t be! He was certain it was it, the big R, his signature. He wondered where the other pieces could be, how many more animals were in anguish or worse, dead as a result of his actions? His past had traveled halfway through the world to haunt him. He had a part in polluting the ocean and his conscience couldn’t live with it. He was going to take responsibility for his actions and was going to be part of the force to keep the oceans safe. He was going to put his time and resources into it. He knew now, what he was going to do with his life.
