The Most Successful R-Rated Movies Of All Time

Troy

In 2004, Troy was the eighth highest-grossing film and the 60th highest-grossing movie, making $497.4 million worldwide. The story was a more condensed narration of the Iliad. It also started with Paris, the younger brother of Hector, having an affair with the wife of Menelaus, the King of Sparta. Paris smuggles her home with him, and this causes a new circle of war and vengeance.

We all wished for a happy ending, but it never happened with Troy. No one was a winner in this movie; being alive was eventually the only trophy.  At the 77th Academy Awards, Troy was nominated for Best Costume Design.
