The Military’s Watchful Eye
With the way the officer stands firm, watching as the woman sweeps the street, you’d almost think he’s expecting her to mess things up. But that’s his job. Yes, he’s paid to stand there and watch her sweep a road that is seldom plied by more than a few people and scattered cars daily. He is stationed at the corner of a street, just watching on, fixated on who needs to be taught a lesson. Officers like the one in this photo are posted everywhere in North Korea due to a large influx of commissions into the army yearly. If it continues this way, everyone will soon become a law enforcement officer in this country.
