“Go Green” – No, not like THAT!
The North Korean government keeps telling the world there is no hunger in the country. And since there are no photos to prove otherwise, everyone has to believe it. Thankfully, this visitor did us a world of good with this discrete photo that reveals just what the North Korean government would prefer to keep secret. Here, a thin older man is harvesting grass from a field. Harvesting grass could be for different reasons, but surely not for human consumption. That’s what makes this photo horrifying. Hunger is so bad that this man is gathering the grass, not for his animals but for dinner for his family. This is sad, to say the least, and it’s certainly not the type of salad humans are used to.
