Child Farmers
The farming system in North Korea is not only backward but also includes child labor. The old-fashioned farming tools coupled with never-ending hectares of land mean farmers are short-staffed. Just about any help is welcome, and as you can see from this picture, age is not a barrier in the employment process. Instead of going to school, the children in this photo are on their way to the farm to help out with their tiny little fingers. They say desperate times call for desperate measures, but kids?
