Pirates of the Caribbean (The Curse of the Black Pearl): Wrong Red Coats on the Boat
The British Army uniform has transitioned over time, but the red coat seems to be the one piece that has stuck such that it is now only for ceremonial events, and we’re not surprised.
However, we find it surprising that the Pirates of the Caribbean were already innovators of this uniform before the British government even thought of it. In the movie, we see soldiers wearing a red coat in 1720, and the uniforms came into use in 1647. We must raise our glasses for this painful and inaccurate innovation.
