Even though a representative of the police union in that area made a statement applauding the restaurant for its prompt response and cooperation, the harm had already been done by the time the restaurant hurriedly tried to place banners to help law enforcement officers. Collins, on the other hand, was still being a perfect gentleman, and in all of this, he “handled the situation perfectly.” Even so, he was still taken aback by the incident.

None of the representatives’ words could do anything to alleviate the public’s outrage. Thousands of commenters made their opinion known on the restaurant’s Facebook page. They notified them they were going to boycott the restaurant and asked other customers to do the same.  There was even talk of raiding the eatery and stealing from them on social media following the incident. Collins, on the other hand, elected to take a straightforward stand on the issue. Of course, he’d never be in support of that.
