He who runs away
Baker might not have said anything else as he exited the eatery, but many thoughts were running this his mind at the same time. Their acts had left him dissatisfied, angry, and embarrassed, and he couldn’t let them go unpunished. He decided that even though he was back to work the next day, he’ll ignore the disturbing start to his day in his uniform, which suggests the need to address and serve everyone with respect. He already made up his mind to take necessary actions and watch what the outcome would be.

The next day, Collins returned to work in his police chief’s uniform. And even though he had twice the work to do as someone who just got back from a holiday, he already promised himself that he would visit the restaurant again, even if it costs him to sacrifice another day of lunch. He would give up anything to show up at the restaurant and reveal his true identity. Perhaps, seeing them shake in their boots would be a really good sight for such a sunny day.
