Anacondas
Finally, the almighty anacondas! You didn’t think we were going to miss those, or did you? The green anaconda (Eunectes murinus) is a South American boa species known as the enormous anaconda, common anaconda, common water boa, or sucuri. It is the heaviest, longest, and one of the oldest snake species still living. Although it isn’t venous, this snake can swallow a whole human at a time, so it is still very dangerous.
The largely nocturnal anaconda spends the majority of its time in or near water. When swimming, they can attain great speeds. They prefer to float beneath the water’s surface, with their snouts visible, and when prey passes by or comes to a halt to drink, the anaconda strikes (without swallowing or devouring it) and coils its body around it. The snake then constricts till it suffocates and dies. Hard to tell, but it is what it is. So what do we do when we see an anaconda? Run or better still hide. You can’t outrun this king, especially in water.
