This Snake Does Something No Human Should Have To Witness

Green Mambas

In case you’re wondering, there’s an ‘s’ on mamba because they’re plural. As if one of this poisonous beauty wasn’t enough, there had to be two more, making it three kinds of green mambas. They are the East African Green Mamba, Jameson’s mamba, and West African Green Mamba. All three are smaller and timider than black mambas and are usually found on trees. They live pretty long and have been recorded to have lived up to 18 years in captivity. Even though bites from these snakes are not so common because of their habitat choice, a few unlucky victims still come up once in a while, and sadly, most bites are fatal. Their venom is similar to that of black mambas, but the poison from a green mamba’s bite will kill a victim faster, and that’s a simple way to put it. A few first aid tips? Apply a pressure bandage immediately after the bite, minimize the victim’s movement, and visit the nearest hospital as quickly as possible.
