This Snake Does Something No Human Should Have To Witness

Puff Adder

I know what you’re thinking. The common name of this snake sounds like that of a Rap artist, well maybe not. But this snake has surely got some moves. The Puff Adder is quite large, but when it’s time to give the threat display, it inflates its body and accompanies it with loud hisses. They are related to Cobras but look like Vipers with big bodies, short tails, and slim heads. They love grasslands but can stay on drylands too, so don’t be too surprised if you ever find them in a desert.  As for its venom, it’s so potent that 50% of untreated cases lead to death. These puffing snakes also love the night and enjoy a meal of frogs and toads, although they can accommodate a lot more since they have been reported to be gluttony, especially in captivity. The keeper must exercise wisdom as it feeds this snake because it can overfeed and die. They do not also take the idea of captivity lightly. The Puff Adder will keep puffing and hissing loudly when they are about to be captured because they are bad-tempered. Noting that temperament is very important.
