Lucy was a one-of-a-kind movie. Not many action movies take on women as the core of the story and all the action, but that was the case in this french science-fiction and film. Scarlet Johannson played the titular character, and critics praised her for it.
Lucy gained super thinking powers from having drugs kicked open in her stomach. Although the movie was special, it bagged many negative reviews from critics for its storyline, and despite all of this, it was still a commercial success. The movie grossed a total of $463 million against a budget of $40 million.
